Kanye headlining Glastonbury, good or bad?

Well apparently some folks don’t want Kanye at Glastonbury…60,000 folks to be exact!

After Kanye West was announced as the headline act for the Saturday night of Glastonbury Festival this summer, there was somewhat of an uproar online and a petition was started.

Petition-starter Neil Lonsdale has appealed to the general public to back his campaign to oust the singer from the line up stating, “Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world, this egotistical, maniacal, disgrace was a clear oversight,” he continued. “There is still time to correct this.”

And 60,000 people have answered his wishes by signing the petition which was started almost a week ago.

This isn’t the first time Glasto fans have taken to the internet to express their dislike for a headline act. Back in 2008 Jay-Z was announced to headline, only for the festival organisers to receive a barrage of complaints and a petition to have him removed. But to no avail, Hove took to the stage and everyone carried on as they were before.

So there doesn’t seem much hope for this latest effort.

But if you feel the need, then sign the petition!
